The international summer of soccer in Southern California comes to a close Wednesday on the second day of fall as CD Guadalajara plays Carson-based spin-off Chivas USA at the Rose Bowl.
It's the first-ever meeting between 4-year
old Chivas USA and their 103-year-old mother- ship on American soil.
CD Guadalajara, which claims a fan base of 30 million across the United States and Mexico, likes to think of the club as the most popular sports franchise in Los Angeles, but a crowd of only around 20,000-30,000 is expected in the vast stadium.
