International Wire Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets: ITWG) announced that it is a participant in an industrial incentive award program granted by the State of New York. Under this award, International Wire will have the ability to earn a discount of up to three cents per kilowatt hour on electricity rates, limited to $1.9 million per year, based on usage at its central New York plants located in Camden and Rome. The award is dependent upon the maintenance of certain employment levels. The plants involved currently employ over 300 people (see also International Wire Group, Inc.).
