Peter Wisbey announced in September he would be stepping down as executive director of the Seward House.
Wisbey has been commuting daily from Rochester since he took the job nine years ago. "It has taken a toll on my family," he said.
When Wisbey took the job he had worked at the Genesee Country Museum in Mumford, Monroe County, and at museums in Massachusetts and New Jersey.
"All those positions were as a curator. The Seward House was my first time as executive director," Wisbey said. There was more than the change in title to get excited about.
