Volvo's product plans are uncertain. Many of its vehicles are aging and rely heavily on Ford technology. But last year Ford Motor Co. placed a "For Sale sign on the Swedish brand.
Still, there are glimmers of hope. The 10-year-old S60 sedan will be redesigned next year, and a plug-in hybrid is on the horizon.
Here are Volvo's product plans.
Hybrid: Volvo is co-developing a plug-in hybrid with Vattenfall AB, of Stockholm, one of Europe's major power companies.
The powertrain will be connected to a diesel engine. The vehicle will run for about 60 miles on lithium ion batteries. Production is scheduled ...
