Allan McNish experienced a reversal of fortune this time around at Petit Le Mans.
One year ago, the Scot crashed as he drove to the grid, then fought back from two laps down to score an amazing win for Audi. This year, he drove another brilliant race and held the lead but spun in the rain near the halfway point of the American Le Mans Series' 1,000-mile endurance marathon at Road Atlanta. Unfortunately for Audi, just minutes later, the rain became heavy enough to force officials to stop the race, handing a narrow win to Peugeot drivers Stephane Sarrazin and Franck Montagny.
