The good news, depending on your perspective and tolerance, is that the Detroit Lions were on television Sunday.
That's because they played in Chicago.
In Detroit, six of the team's past seven games, dating back to last season, have been blacked out on local television because the Lions didn't sell out Ford Field and that makes buying local advertising spots a dicey proposition, even with discounts being offered by WJBK FOX 2.
Andy Winnie, owner of Plymouth-based eBuy Media Inc. thinks the Lions remain a good buy for advertisers, but only if they're going to be on television.
