Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert wears a lot of hats: financier, mortgage magnate, sports team owner.
And if voters in Ohio go his way on Nov. 3, he'll add another title to the list: casino owner.
Gilbert's Rock Ventures L.L.C. is a major backer of Ohio's Issue 3, a ballot proposal to allow casino gambling in the state's four major cities, Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. Buckeye voters have defeated past gaming proposals, but this measure's gaining traction.
According to a poll published last week in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, 59 percent of respondents said they'd support Issue 3.
