Dow Chemical Co. is taking a giant step to gain a foothold in the railway industry in North America.
The company recently launched a portfolio of polyurethane elastomer systems that can be tailor-made for the sector to create a base that will allow it to grow its small railway business at a steady pace.
"Nobody knows about us in the railway industry in North America, said David Frost, Dow's business development leader. "Even in the United Kingdom and Europe, our involvement in the railway industry is presently very small. He said he hopes the recent launch will change all that.
