Everett W. Harrison, former owner and president of Controlled Rubber Products Inc., died at his home on Aug. 23. He was 85.

Harrison was owner and president of Controlled Rubber from 1976 to 1999, at which time the company was sold to AirBoss of America Corp.

A graduate of Queens University in Ontario, his background was as a financial person, starting his career with Chrysler, according to Tom Jacques, his stepson. Harrison worked various other jobs, including as a consultant to troubled companies.
