CLINTON - It's been just a little over a year since Growing Places Garden Project (GPGP), a non-profit which provides gardens and education so that people can grow food on their own, acquired the funds to hire a full-time director. In that time, the program has expanded to serve more than twice as many clients, with the help of 69 percent more volunteers.
This means that twice as many families have been provided with gardens, plants, and guidance to ensure their productivity. In addition, Growing Places helps clients learn to use produce as the basis for a healthy lifestyle.
