LIONS scrum-half Mike Phillips admits the Ospreys must try to "start with a bang" when they face Leicester in their Heineken Cup opener at Welford Road tomorrow (12.45pm).

The star-studded region go to last year's finalists as underdogs, but as Wales' best hope each year the tournament comes around, the spotlight is as intense as ever.

Pundits are already saying a losing bonus point may not be a bad outcome for the Liberty Stadium side, but Phillips begs to differ.
