Defense Ministry uses saved money to buy aviation equipment - Serdyukov

GORKI. Oct 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Defense Ministry has used some 26 billion rubles it has saved to buy helicopters and front bombers, Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov told the president on Thursday.

"We have purchased two Su-24 helicopters modernized Su-25 helicopters, and bought one new Su-25 helicopter," Serdyukov said, adding that the ministry has also bought two new Su-27 helicopters four new Mi-8 helicopters, and one new Ka-52 helicopter.
