MIAMI, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) has awarded a contract to Ryder Integrated Logistics, Inc., a business unit of Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), to design and manage an integrated North American network for the just-in-time delivery of components to Ford's manufacturing and vehicle assembly plants. The announcement was made by Ed Straw, President - Ryder Integrated Logistics.
As part of the agreement, Ryder will reengineer and manage an inbound logistics network that integrates the supply chains of Ford's North American assembly plants -- fifteen in the United States, three in Canada, and two in
