SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 1998--A class action has been commenced in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of purchasers of Smart Modular Technologies, Inc. ("Smart Modular") (NASDAQ:SMOD) common stock during the period July 1, 1997 to May 21, 1998 (the "Class Period").
