By mixing traditional tools and new technologies, educators at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta have expanded their capabilities to present richer materials in the classroom. However, this diverse mix of materials -- from whiteboard notes to the Internet -- can make it more difficult for students to accurately record what is going on in class. This difficulty is compounded if the materials are difficult to see due to limitations like screen size or clarity in a well-lit room.
