Karachi, October 09, 2009 (PPI): PRGMEA Chairman for South Zone, Shaikh Shafiq Rafiq has suggested that no double duty drawback should be allowed on exports to EPZ from tariff area. In a letter addressed to Dr. Waqar Masood Khan, Secretary Textile Industry, PRGMEA suggested that no refund should be eligible on exports of products such as fabric, home textiles and finished garments from tariff area in Pakistan to EPZ since exporters of EPZ are already eligible for this facility on their said product exports to get duty drawback. He said that EPZ manufacturers are fully eligible to duty drawback since they were getting R&D facility earlier vide Ministry of Commerce letter ...
