Sales Just Miss Matching Record First Quarter 

ADDISON, Ill., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Minuteman International, Inc. (Nasdaq: MMAN) today reported net income for 1998's second quarter rose 8.4 percent on a 3.4 percent gain in sales. Improved profit margins reflected the combination of the higher volume and proportionately lower costs. Similar results were shown for the year to date, marked by the highest sales for any six-month period in the company's history.

For the three months ended June 30, 1998, net income was $930,000, or $.26 per share (diluted) compared with $858,000, or $.24 per share (diluted) in the like period of 1997. ...
