The 1997 International Conference on Tungsten, Refractory Metals and Alloys: Processing, Properties and Applications, held in Orlando, Fla., 17-19 November 1997, focused on the current state of science, technology development, and new applications. The meeting, the fourth in a series on this subject since 1992, was sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), in cooperation with the Refractory Metals Association (RMA) and American Powder Metallurgy Institute (APMI) International. A wide range of topics was presented through 48 papers combined into 25 sessions. Proceedings will be published by MPIF.
