In a meeting Sept. 8, Elgin Community College District 509 board of trustees took these actions:
* Approved the minutes of the Aug. 11 open session.
* Approved a $2.3 million loan agreement with the city of Elgin to fund the reconstruction of Spartan Drive from McLean Boulevard to east of Renner Drive on the main campus.
* Purchased electrical and lighting supplies for use in electrical maintenance and repair projects throughout the college from Advance Electrical of Mokena in an amount not to exceed $25,418.
* Purchased paper stock for graphics and print services from Midland Paper of Wheeling in an amount not to exceed $25,908.
