Todwil, a Cape-based company that specialises in retail marketing solutions, was recently contracted by British American Tobacco to manufacture Pacrobat units for Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and French Polynesia.
Pacrobat is a unit designed for pack rotation in the tobacco industry. It ensures that new stock is always at the front of the unit and that old stock is out first. The tobacco industry had always encountered out-of-date product in the market, as new stock was inserted into the front of the merchandising units by the retailer, says Jason Pontes, International Account Manager at Todwil.
