France's Suez Environnement S.A. service provider has signed an agreement with China's Chongqing Energy Group.

ChinaCSR reported Friday that the agreement provides for establishing a joint venture company in China. According to the agreement, the JV's stated goals are to promote energy conservation, reduce emissions, improve energy utility efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy. In a pilot program in Chongqing the JV will supply cooling, heating and hot water to the Danzishi and Jiefangbei central business districts.
