Mauritius Commercial Bank is considering a secondary listing on the Johannesburg bourse due to increased interest in its shares from South Africa-based funds, a top executive said on Thursday.
Antony Withers, its chief executive of banking, said MCB -- east Africa and the Indian Ocean's biggest bank by assets -- was studying the JSE's rules. He said the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM) would always remain its primary listing.
