Article: United States: City moves closer to water plant.

The Gallatin Board of Aldermen gave a first and second reading to a bill authorizing the city to employ an attorney to assist in negotiating and closing a loan and grant for the construction and operation of a public water supply and distributions system during their regular meeting held Monday, Sept. 28.

The board approved a motion to enter into an agreement with Midwest Assistance Program for an environmental assessment at a cost of $3,500.

Teddy Holcomb stated that the city has the pool winterized. He doesn t think the weather will allow them to asphalt any more streets this year so they would like to get some mix to fill in pot holes.
