From technology to armor, six companies created more than 1,000 new jobs and helped to keep 450 others, resulting in a more than $136 million investment in Broward County in the last 12 months.
The Broward Alliance released those figures Wednesday during its annual meeting in Fort Lauderdale.
The businesses mentioned as being a boon to Broward s economy are Florida Heat Pump/Bosch, Midnight Express Boats, Solar Transportation Solutions, Point Blank Solutions, S&B Industry Foxconn Technology Group and Research in Motion. The six companies were among a group of nearly 700 that the alliance assisted during its last fiscal year.
