New home for Homestead
The country's first all-inclusive program for wounded combat veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan is being built by nonprofit Veteran Homestead Inc. on the campus of Mount Wachusett Community College. The $8 million Northeast Veteran Training and Rehabilitation Center will be open for public tours from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday. Parking and shuttle buses will be available until 5 p.m. in the field at Green and Eaton/Kelton streets, adjacent to the MWCC walking track.
