FUND PROFILE: Fidelity Asian Values has cut its gearing and negotiated some hefty redemptions
Fidelity Asian Values was launched midway through 1996 with the aim of building long-term capital growth through equity investments in Asian markets, with the exception of Japan. Income is a secondary consideration, so dividends are paid out of any revenue surplus of a particular year's business.
The trust has been managed over the past eight years by John Lo, who has been with Fidelity International Limited since 1993 and is also currently the head of Equity Investments in Singapore.
