FOR more than two years now, the Greens have had to put up with sneers at their futile fight to be taken seriously. The deal they signed in 2007 ditched so much of their manifesto it is a miracle internal dissidents did not set up a group called the Continuity Greens.
Out went commitments on Shannon and Tara and much else, never to be seen again, let alone much remembered last weekend.
From there things have only gone downhill dramatically.
