Private equity firm Actis will lead a $750 million investment fund into developing economies to support power generation and transport deals.

Its previous infrastructure fund, launched in 2002, was fully realized in 2007 and generated an IRR of more than 23 percent.

The Actis Infrastructure 2 Fund will be led by Actis partners Michael Till and Torbjorn Caesar.

The fund will consider making plays in Africa, China, India, Latin America and South East Asia.
