ORGANISERS of a glitzy charity bash to honour cricket legend George Headley say they plan to take legal action against Birmingham's International Convention Centre after a late cancellation.
A gala dinner to celebrate the life of the Jamaican star was due to be held at the city centre venue on August 22.
More than 1,000 people, including sporting stars and dignitaries and two Caribbean island prime ministers, were due to attend the black-tie event to celebrate the centenary year since the birth of the first black West Indies cricket captain who died in 1983, aged 74.
But the event was called off just 24-hours ...
