Taipei, Oct. 1, 2009 (CENS)--Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. (CMO), the second-largest thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFTLCD) panel manufacturer in Taiwan, reportedly won a big-ticket order from Funai Electric Co. Ltd. of Japan, which will source 80% of its needed LCD TV panel cells from the Taiwanese supplier in 2010.

In addition, CMO's cooperation ties with mainland Chinese home-appliance makers such as Hisense and Konka are expected to reinforce further by becoming their largest panel-cell supplier.
