13 October 2009 - Swedish-Finnish telecoms major TeliaSonera AB (STO: TLSN) said today that it controls 68.08% of the votes in its Lithuanian subsidiary TEO LT AB (VSE: TEO1L) after the completion of its cash offer earlier this month.

TeliaSonera launched on 17 September 2009 a bid to acquire the shares in TEO LT for LTL1.83 apiece. A total of 23.47 million shares were submitted in the offer which expired on 9 October 2009. In addition, TeliaSonera acquired almost 10 million shares in the open market during the offer period. ...
