NEW YORK -- Halston International has found its new president and chief executive officer: Nicholas DeMarco, former president of International Apparel Marketing Corp. and former director at Pierre Cardin USA Inc.
After calling last fall's blitz of Halston products "overkill," DeMarco, who joins the firm Aug. 1, said his mission would be to concentrate on the designer market.
"I want to bring back the elegance, the glamour and simplicity of Halston," he said. "I want to expand the prestige and prominence of the Halston brand through the designer collection and through strategic relationships."
