Once the butt of countless jokes about canceled flights and delayed departures, Hawaiian Airlines is sprucing up its image and, in the process, its profits. Blain Miyasato is Hawaiian's point man in the campaign to make flying with the airline a positive experience for passengers, employees and shareholders.

Most young boys go through a period in which airplanes are the be all and end all. But those kids are usually surrounded by plastic model planes or, if they're really lucky, gas-powered aircraft. Not so with Blain Miyasato, whose memories of flying are of the real thing.
