The harmless little pumpkin can be chock-full of Halloween horrors. Which, after all, do you dread more?
(A) Plunging a butcher knife into the gourd, attempting to cut a top that will stay in and carve the shapes your children envision without slicing yourself or a little bystander.
(B) Scooping out squishy pumpkin guts with your bare hands, then cleaning up the stringy, slimy, seedy mess.
(C) The thought of hoisting a sagging, moldy jack-o'-lantern off the porch in November.
