Thanks to Editor Christian Berg for an excellent editorial (Oct. '09) titled What's Your Bowhunting Character? At a time in our society when we are on the verge of having our outdoor pursuits severely curtailed or legislated away, we must take every opportunity to show our character. Your subject definitely helps this cause. The Decisions Made Alone article further reinforces this theme.
I do, however, believe a missed opportunity occurred in Midwest Monsters '08. Field Editor Bill Winke "hit a buck low and back," and despite a search the following day, the buck was not recovered. All bowhunters know this is an experience we deeply regret and haunts us. Mr. Winke ...
