Bapco has signed a $27 million and 24.6 million euro ($36.4 million) engineering, procurement and construction management contract with Technip France - Abu Dhabi.
The deal covers installation of new steam turbo-generators with new housing and substation.
'This project marks a significant step towards improving the reliability and operability of the power generation system in the refinery and other facilities,' Oil and Gas Affairs Minister and Bapco chairman Dr Abdulhussain Mirza said.
