Dorothy E. DeNova, 63, of Almond St., Oneida, passed away Saturday afternoon in Oneida Healthcare Center, shortly after her admission. Born in Syracuse on March 11, 1946, she was the daughter of Robert and June McCarthy Schumacher. A resident of Oneida since 2000, Dorothy earned her associate's degree from Bryant & Stratton Institute and later received her bachelor's degree from Syracuse University and certification in alcohol and drug counseling.
She married Anthony V. DeNova in St. Joseph's Church on October 30, 2000.
