LG CHEM TO SPEND US$303 MLN FOR BATTERY PLANT IN U.S.
SEOUL - LG Chem Ltd. (KSE:051910), South Korea's largest chemical maker, said Wednesday that it has decided to invest US$303 million to build a plant for hybrid-car and electric car batteries in the U.S.
The construction of the plant in Holland, Michigan, will start in July 2010 for completion two years later, the company said in a regulatory filing.
