THERE'S nothing quite as relaxing as the rhythmic murmur of waves crashing on to the seashore to slowly drag you out of a deep and luxurious sleep.
Emerging from a cloud of crisp linen and fluffy pillows to stroll on to a balcony overlooking the Arabian Sea on the south-west coast of India is a distinct bonus.
Distant shouts of fishermen drift up as they launch their wooden canoes into the breakers on the beach below, paddling across the water to ply their trade much as they have for thousands of years.
