READING, Pa., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EnerSys , the world's largest manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of industrial batteries, announced that recently it has been awarded contracts in the United States and Europe for submarine batteries with a value in excess of $20 million.
In the US, EnerSys has received a second consecutive contract award from the United States Navy to produce valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries using its proprietary thin plate pure lead (TPPL) technology.
