ESTIMATES OF THE POTENTIAL impact of global warming and the greenhouse effect could be based on flawed computer models, warns Gerald T. Westbrook of TSBV Consultants, Houston, who spoke on the global warming phenomenon before the July meeting of Southwest Chemical Association in that city.

Current efforts to assess thc problem mirror the famous "cart before the horse" mistake, Mr. Westbrook told the group- the horse being a large number of disciplines "trying to understand what's going on with our climate."
