With image quality rising and unit prices falling, the outlook for digital cameras is beginning to brighten considerably.
The cameras, which use silicon instead of film to capture pictures, enable users to get those images quickly, edit them on their personal computers, and make prints or send them over the Internet, all within minutes.
``With more and more people buying PCs for the home, it is just a natural integration into the PC,'' said Joe Nardolilli, product manager for digital and applied imaging at the Camera Shop Inc. in Broomall, Pa.
