COAL INDIA, NTPC TO FORM JV TO DEVELOP COAL MINES
NEW DELHI - Indian state-owned NTPC (BSE:532555) and Coal India would form a 50:50 joint venture to develop coal mines for feeding the power major's Farakka and Kahalgaon thermal projects.
And the Central Mine Planning & Design Institute, a subsidiary of Coal India which provides consulting services in the areas of coal explorations, sources said, may prepare a detailed project report on this.
