- The Energy Regulatory Commission has ordered Meralco to implement a refund of its net over-recoveries at the rate of P0.0107 per kilowatt hour or a total of P278 million.
- The government is keeping its P250 billion budget deficit program for 2009, equivalent to 3.2 per cent of GDP but expects next years program of 2.8 per cent of GDP will exceed the target by P50 billion to P280 billion.
- The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has raised the balance of payments forecast for this year to a surplus of $4-$5 billion from an earlier projection of only $700 million. ...
