Taipei, Oct. 2, 2009 (CENS)--With the WiMAX (worldwide interoperability for microwave access) technology becoming mature, Alvarion Inc., a globally leading wireless broadband solution supplier, has built close ties with the Taiwanese WiMAX industry, helping to boost its influence on the global market.
Alvarion is now the world's No. 1 supplier of systems for fixed WiMAX based on IEEE 802.16d standards, and ranks among the world's top three companies of 802.16e-compliant WiMAX system, or so-called mobile WiMAX.
