BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Brookline Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") (NASDAQ: BRKL) announced today its earnings for the 2009 third quarter and approval by the Board of Directors of a regular quarterly dividend of $0.085 per share payable November 13, 2009 to stockholders of record on October 30, 2009.
The Company earned $5,242,000, or $0.09 per share on a basic and diluted basis, for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 compared to $1,751,000, or $0.03 per share on a basic and diluted basis, for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
