Oct 15, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Infrastructure Australia chairman, Rod Eddington, has expressed support for plans to launch a new organisation to help market Australia to the world. Eddington, who is also Victorian Major Events Company chairman, said trade and tourism agencies should not maintain sole responsibility for the marketing of Australia. Business leaders including Foxtel CEO Kim Williams and Business Council of Australia CEO Katie Lahey have also expressed support for the proposed Brand Australia Council.
