More new restaurants join the landscape.
Marche is now open in Andre Guerrero's former Max space in Sherman Oaks. Chef Gary Menes, previously at Palate Food + Wine, Glendale, is at the helm. Guerrero is still involved. 13355 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. 818-784-2915.
Blue Dog recently opened at 4524 Saugus Ave., Sherman Oaks. The restaurant/tavern serves American homestyle food including pizza, burgers, salads, ribs and microbrews and imported beers. Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, serving an all-day lunch and dinner menu. 818-990-2583.
