One of Charlotte's most successful and well-known restaurant owners is expanding his presence in South End with a new restaurant concept at Atherton Mill. John Duncan, who owns Bonterra and Las Ramblas and co-founded Mac's Speed Shop, will open Icehouse at South End in early 2010. The restaurant will occupy 5,600 square feet and feature an impressive 200 different beers, signature burgers, barbecue, ribs, and wood-oven pizzas among other menu items (see also Edens & Avant).
