The editors of Power Engineering magazine and PennWell Corp. have announced 12 finalists for the annual Projects of the Year Awards program.
The finalists were selected from four major categories: Best Coal-fired Project, Best Gas-fired Project, Best Nuclear Project and Best Renewable/Sustainable Project.
The 2009 Best Coal-fired Project finalists are East Kentucky Power Cooperative's Spurlock Unit 4, Omaha Public Power District's OPPD Unit 2 and City Water, Light and Power's Dallman Unit 4 in Springfield, Ill.
